Hi, I’m Mel, a senior designer based in Bay City, Michigan, with nearly 20 years of experience creating brand, campaign, and content-driven design across digital, social, and multimedia platforms. I specialize in turning complex ideas into clear, engaging visual stories that connect with audiences and support real-world goals.
My work spans social media campaigns, brand systems, video and audio production, photography, and web design. I’ve led creative from concept through execution, often across multiple channels at once, balancing storytelling with strategy and consistency. I thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with marketing teams, leadership, and stakeholders to bring ideas to life in a way that feels both intentional and human.
I’m especially drawn to projects that involve narrative, community, and connection, where design plays a meaningful role in how stories are shared and experienced.
Interests + Hobbies
Outside of work, my interests strongly influence how I approach design. Photography sharpens my attention to composition, lighting, and detail, while travel introduces me to new cultures, perspectives, and visual inspiration. Sports fuel my love for high-energy, impactful visuals, and gaming has shaped my appreciation for immersive storytelling, pacing, and user experience.
I’m also a lifelong tech enthusiast, always exploring new tools and workflows to improve how creative work is produced and shared. Adobe MAX remains a favorite source of inspiration and learning, helping me stay current while continuing to evolve my craft.
When I’m offline, I’m usually spending time with my two Australian Shepherds, who keep me active and are a great reminder to step away from the screen.
